OSC Kickers

"Kickers" is our introduction to the "Beautiful Game" for 3-4 year olds.  The training is upbeat with a concentration on ball skills (dribbling, passing and shooting) through small groupings and many touches. Parents are encouraged to join in the fun.

  • Participants need a #3 Ball
  • Each will receive shirt
  • 2 sessions available
    • Fall $60 - 11/11/11 to 12/16/11
    • Winter $60 - 01/13/12 to 02/10/12
    • Save $10 if you sign up for both sessions (Other discounts may apply, check Recreational Program page for more information)
  • All session are on Friday nights at 6:00 PM at Canal Park

OSC Starters (U6)

U6 "Starters" is the next step in the progression. Players play on co-ed teams that have 1 weekly practice.  Coaches teach skills based on player ability. They learn how to pass, shoot in small-sided games.

  • $120 per player
    • 10 Games + 2 Jamborees (Other discounts may apply, check Recreational Program page for more information)
  • Participants need
    • #3 Ball
    • Shin guards
    • Soccer Cleats
    • Water Container
  • 1 Weekly practice session (Day TBD)
  • Players will receive Game Jersey, Shorts and Socks from OSC
  • Teams are Co-Ed
  • Games will be played on Friday nights
  • 1st game is November 4th 2011 at 6:30PM at Canal Park
  • Will participate in OSC/Dunedin Jamboree
    • Session 1 at Canal Park Dec 2011
    • Session 2 at Dunedin Feb 2012

OSC Strikers (U8)

U8 "Strikers" progress to a larger field and more players on the field at once.  Training concentrates on ball control, passing, shooting and throw-ins.  These games are officiated by OSC Youth USSF certified referees. Players will be invited to participate in the OSC Competitive Development Program that gives selected players more intensive training designed to help bridge the gap between Recreational Soccer and Competitive Soccer. The OSC CDP will start in January 2012.

  • $150 per player

REC Select (U10)

U10 "Rec Select" is geared towards players that may want to play more competitive games without the pressure associated with competitive "club" soccer. Players will receive more detailed training stressing field awareness, ball skills, communication and teamwork.  These games are officiated by OSC Youth USSF certified referees. Players will be invited to participate in the OSC Competitive Development Program that gives selected players more intensive training designed to help bridge the gap between Recreational Soccer and Competitive Soccer. The OSC CDP will start in January 2012.

  • Participants need
    • #4 Ball

    • Soccer Cleats
    • Water Container
  • Players will receive Game Jersey, Shorts and Socks from OSC
  • Teams are Co-Ed
  • 2 weekly practice sessions (Day TBD)
  • Games will be played on Saturdays
  • 1st game is November 5th 2011 at 9:00AM at Canal Park
  • Will participate End of Season Tournament
  • Players will be able to participate in OSC CDP 
     

Travel Rec
(U12 and Higher)

U12-U18 Travel Rec takes the older recreational players to a higher level of competition by having them play teams from the surrounding clubs.  Travel Rec teams will take part in the Gulfcoast Youth Soccer League.  They will play half their games at Canal Park and the other half on the road.  Their training is more intense and really fine tunes all the skills they have learn throughout the previous seasons. These games are officiated by OSC Adult and Youth USSF certified referees. Geared towards the player that wants to be competitve but may not have the time to give that the Competitive Program requires.  Players of all levels are invited to participate.

  • Participants need

    • Shin guards
    • Soccer Cleats
    • Water Container
  • Players will receive Game Jersey, Shorts and Socks from OSC
  • Teams are Same Gender (Boys / Girls) 
  • 2 weekly practice sessions (Day TBD)
  • Games will be played on Saturdays
  • 1st game is November 5th 2011 at 9:00AM at Canal Park
  • May participate in GYSA Cup (Coaches will determine) 
  • Players will be able to participate in OSC CDP
